COVID 19 Update

9/13/2024

Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.

Residents played Jeopardy this week, continued to color and art projects.  Thank you to the person that donated new magazines for the activity department, these have great stories that we can read to the residents.

For our COVID update this week we have no residents or staff that have tested positive for COVID.  Our facility remains open, and residents are able to participate in regular activities.  Please remember to wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often. If you have any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry.  I want to thank everyone that has been visiting and helping to keep our loved ones safe.

September derives its name from the Latin word “septem,” which means “seven”. This is because, in the original Roman calendar, September was actually the seventh month of the year. It was only later that the calendar was adjusted to include the months of January and February.

As mentioned, September comes from the Latin word “septem”. The other months in the Gregorian calendar are named after Roman gods and goddesses. Just to name a few: January (Janus, the god of beginnings and transitions), March (Mars, the god of war), July (Julius Caesar), and August (Augustus Caesar).

Best regards,
