Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.
We had Christmas BINGO for the women’s group this week, everyone got a gift and a snack. The men had good conversation at men’s coffee. We had Mary Link here from Merrymakers to sing for the residents.
For our COVID update this week there are no COVID positive residents or staff. Our facility remains open, and residents are able to participate in regular activity. Please remember to wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often. If you have any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry. I want to thank everyone that has been visiting and helping to keep our loved ones safe.
Here are some fun facts about winter:
In 1983, Nebraska plunged into an arctic freeze, temperatures dipped to 24 degrees below zero and that was before taking the wind chill factor into account. I hope we don’t see a winter like this, I remember this winter, as a kid it was great.
