Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.
Westfield residents are starting to prepare for Halloween. We are going to allow trick or treaters this year. We are so excited that this is finally something that we can do. The residents are so excited to see all the kids in their costumes. If you have a loved one at Westfield, we are asking that you bring in some candy to pass out. Leave it at the front desk and will mark your loved one’s name on the bag. If anyone would like to donate treats for us to pass out that would be greatly appreciated. Come join in Westfield trick or treating on Thursday, October 26th from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. See then.
For our COVID update this week there were no new positive residents this week so we were able to open up the facility. Residents were able to come out and eat meals in the dining room and we resumed activities. Please remember to wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often. If you have any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry. I want to thank everyone that has been visiting and helping to keep our loved ones safe.
October has started off to be a beautiful fall, I hope this keeps up and winter doesn’t show up too soon. Fun fact about October: The traditional flower of the month of October is the calendula, which symbolizes comfort, healing, protection, winning grace and lovable and President Harry S. Truman delivered the first-ever presidential speech on television from the White House on October 5, 1947.
Best regards,
