COVID 19 Update

4/28/2023

Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.

If you are ready for a chuckle, go visit our Facebook page and check out the Westfield staff jokes.  Why did the Clydesdale give the pony a glass of water?  Because he was a little horse.  Resident colored paper fans, these will be handy as the weather warms up outside.  Our talented artists were back at work making stained glass paintings.

Westfield made a donation box for the Aurora Adopt a Pet.  We are taking donations for the animal shelter starting April 19th – May 18th.  Donations can be put in the decorated box in the front entryway at Westfield Quality Care.

Items that are needed: squeaky toys, cat toys, Iams mini chunks, Iams canned dog food, clumpable litter, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, plain milk bones, Jiaxix pet nursing bottles, feeding bottle kits, and Weighmax Electronic Kitchen Scale.

For our COVID update this week; Hamilton County is NOT in high positivity rate, so masks are NOT required at this time.  We will continue to check the community positivity rates every Friday.  Westfield does not have any COVID positive staff or residents.  We always want visitors to self-monitor and please don’t visit if you are feeling ill.  I will continue to add this bit of infection control reminders, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer often. If you have any COVID symptoms or have been knowingly exposed to COVID please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry.

Here are some interesting facts about Nebraska:

When you think about Nebraska, what comes to mind? Most people think of farmland, and that's about it.

However, Nebraska is the birthplace of Hollywood royalty Marlon Brando and one of the most successful investors of all time, Warren Buffet?

Red Cloud is the most famous small town, Willa Cather is one of the most important historic writers in American history. Due to her contributions in literature, her childhood home has been deemed a historic place.

Have a great weekend,
