COVID 19 Update

Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.

Westfield made a donation box for the Aurora Adopt a Pet.  We are taking donations for the animal shelter starting April 19th – May 18th.  Donations can be put in the decorated box in the front entryway at Westfield Quality Care.

Items that are needed: squeaky toys, cat toys, Iams mini chunks, Iams canned dog food, clumpable litter, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, plain milk bones, Jiaxix pet nursing bottles, feeding bottle kits, and Weighmax Electronic Kitchen Scale.

Go check out our Facebook page and see what advice our seniors have given to the seniors of 2023.  The women’s group made glass gumball machines with Pom Poms and then they were treated to a back massage and cookies - - Yummm.

For our COVID update this week; Hamilton County is NOT in high positivity rate, so masks are NOT required at this time.  We will continue to check the community positivity rates every Friday.  Westfield does not have any COVID positive staff or residents.  We always want visitors to self-monitor and please don’t visit if you are feeling ill.  I will continue to add this bit of infection control reminders, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer often. If you have any COVID symptoms or have been knowingly exposed to COVID please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry.

Here are some interesting facts about April:

April 22nd is Earth Day

April 24th is the birthday of Robert B. Thomas the founder of the Old Farmer’s Almanac

April 28th is National Arbor Day

Rhyme Time

April cold with dripping rain
Willows and lilacs brings again,
The whistle of returning birds,
And trumpet-lowing of the herds.
–Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–82)

Have a great weekend,
