COVID 19 Update

2/3/2023

Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.

First I want to let everyone know that we have a new activity assistant.  Kendall started this week and is doing a great job.  Everyone needs to come meet Kendall and welcome her to Westfield.  This week Dolores Kimminau was here this entertaining the residents, the residents love it when we have live entertainment. There were many different craft projects and pet therapy (this is always a hit) we all love when animals visit.

For our COVID update this week; Hamilton County is not in High positivity, so staff and visitors do not have to wear masks right now.  We love it when we get show off our smiles.   I will continue to add this bit of infection control reminders, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer often. If you are having any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry.

Here are some interesting facts about February:

February fluctuates between having 28 and 29 days per year. The 29th day only occurs every 4 years during leap years.

If you were born in February, your birthstone is an amethyst, and your flower is a primrose.

The Saxons called February “Sol-monath” which means “cake month,” because they would offer cakes to the gods during February.

Best regards,
