Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.
The residents had a great Halloween, even with the absence of trick or treaters a good time was had by all. The residents had a Halloween party, and we were visited by some Sesame Street and Sponge Bob characters. The residents got to vote on pumpkins decorated by staff and pick the winner. The residents got to take turn having their fun picture taken for Halloween as well. It is time to announce the November Employee of the month, everyone needs to give a big congratulations to Samantha Schade in our nursing department. Please find Samantha and congratulate her for this well-deserved honor.
For our COVID update this week it will have a small change. We have no positive staff or residents at Westfield. Unfortunately, Hamilton County is high positivity, so all staff and visitors have to wear masks when visiting. We continue to check the positivity rate every Thursday and will put updates on the status. Thank you for your patience as we may have a change week by week. I will continue to add this bit of infection control reminders, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer often. If you are having any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry. I want to thank everyone that has been visiting and helping to keep our loved ones safe.
