Hello from Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.
I can hardly believe that summer is almost over, time goes by so fast. The weather has been really good the past week and we had some rain. This is great as it was really needed. We are winding out July and getting ready to move into August it is time to start thinking about getting the kids ready to head back to school. Have a great rest of summer, go do something fun before we move into fall.
For our COVID update this week we did not have any staff or residents test positive. We will continue to test staff that are not up-to-date, this means the staff that have not received a booster or were granted an exception will continue to test twice a week. I will continue to mention, in this week’s post, since COVID continues to be very prevalent in our area, don’t be afraid to wear a mask when in close contact with others, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer often. If you are having any COVID symptoms please stay home and take care of yourself, we will take good care of the residents, so you do not have to worry.
Here are fun facts about July: The birth flower of July is the lilly, the zodiac signs for July are Cancer and Leo. The best part of being born in July is there is no school.
July has many fun foodie days so for July 29th it is National Chicken Wing Day and National Lasagna Day. I have to mention the food for July 30th as this is one of my favorites, it is National Cheesecake Day, that is worth celebrating. Go enjoy these items and celebrate the ending of summer.
