Tim Wylie
I grew up in Lincoln and the surrounding area until ’99 when I went to masonry trade school in Iowa. Before graduating I was invited to the International Masonry Institute in Maryland for an advanced training class where I got to learn side by side with some of the best masonry tradesmen in the country. After graduating I worked construction as a foreman until early 2008 when I met my wife and her son, Kahle. A few months later we decided to move to Aurora where shortly after our daughter, Isabella, was born. Having moved from a larger city to a much smaller town I needed something to keep busy and began training in martial arts in Grand Island and eventually York. I’ve trained traditional boxing, Judo, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and my favorite, Jiu Jitsu. Along the way I’ve competed in the cage in MMA and on the mats in Jiu Jitsu tournaments. Outside of that I spend my time with my family and our miniature zoo (3 dogs, a bearded dragon, and 2 degus), play video games, fishing, lifting weights, listening to music, and of course, traveling to watch my daughter participate in competitive dance.
