COVID19 Update

1-14-22

Good morning friends and families of Westfield!

Wishing you all a great Friday and coming weekend. Please be safe as you are traveling around with the potential of winter weather.

As you are aware, we have been testing for COVID19 this week, both residents and staff. I am pleased to report that we continue to have all tests returning negative. We will test residents again on Monday afternoon so that if all test negative, we can open 100 hallway on Tuesday morning. Thank you for the support and understanding during this time. It can be difficult on residents and staff but they are working so well as a team, all seem to be doing great, given the circumstances.

We are proud to announce that next week Westfield will host our quarterly Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Andrew of St. Croix Hospice. We had a great experience with the last service and residents in attendance were so appreciative and able to remember those friends and family we have lost. For this coming service, we are going to stream it through Facebook Live and we hope that you will all be able to join us virtually since we are still unable to have large groups at the facility. What a great time to remember. Thank you again to Pastor Andrew for the care and services he provides. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more updates. For regular updates on those we have recently lost and cherish memories of, please find them on our website:

We continue to work towards the development of our Sensory Room and have so much appreciated the gifts, donations and words of encouragement given towards this project. Once completed, this will be a wonderful place for residents to enjoy some quiet time if they feel they need it.

Also, this past week, Westfield staff have been hanging more and more artwork, framed pictures, wall hangings, and so on throughout the resident halls and I would say that the building is taking on a whole new life with these additions. Again, we have been blessed with so many gifts for this project and we appreciate it so much. We have just a few more areas to decorate and that project will be completed.

Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to tune in next week for our Facebook Live Memorial Service.
